Stack Electrical recently completed a compliance-driven electrical upgrade for Fulton Hogan, focused on enhancing the safety and regulatory adherence of their tank monitoring and control systems.
Scope of Work
The scope for Stack Electrical on this project included:
- Installation of new Intrinsically Safe cabling: To meet compliance standards, we installed new Intrinsically Safe (IS) cables for high-high-level alarms and radar systems across 12 tanks, ensuring that the monitoring systems met the required safety protocols.
- New control panel installation: A new control panel was installed in the switch room, featuring intrinsic barriers and bypass switches for the high-level alarms. This upgrade enhances compliance with industry standards for safety and monitoring in hazardous areas.
- Motor cable replacement: As part of the compliance upgrade, motor cables were replaced on several tanks, ensuring the system’s safe and reliable operation in accordance with updated regulations.
Outcome
Stack Electrical provided full commissioning services to ensure that all systems were tested, fully operational, and compliant with the stringent safety requirements of Fulton Hogan’s operations.
